Best known as the Green Books, the American Sign Language books provide teachers and students of American Sign Language (ASL) with the complete means for learning about the culture, community, and the native language of Deaf people. A group of 15 ASL teachers and linguists reviewed all five books to ensure that they were accurate and easy to comprehend. This volume of the American Sign Language series explains in depth the grammar and structure of ASL while also presenting a description of the Deaf community in the United States. Written for teachers with minimal training in linguistics, it includes many illustrations, examples, and dialogues that also focus on specific aspects of the Deaf community.

Udemy - Immigrate Into USA And Get Your Green Card: Protect Yourself

Udemy – Immigrate Into USA And Get Your Green Card: Protect Yourself

Knowledge I learned as first generation immigrant and immigration paralegal

I"m the first generation immigrant, I went to USA law school (Juris Doctor Program) and worked with one of the best immigration lawyers before. I hired and fired immigration lawyers myself. I witnessed a lot of tragedies that was preventable. I saw dead cases went back to life, I saw cases that was dead beyond repair.

This course is not to teach you how to do it yourself. U.S. Immigration law is treacherous and tricky. In my job I helped filed multiple complaints against other immigration lawyers being negligent, some of them in business for over 20 years, so you know I can"t teach you to do it yourself because it"s often case by case, one tick in the wrong box your case might be dead.

Although the actual legal process will be done by a lawyer, in real life tons of people still get screwed up even if they hired a lawyer due to their inexperience and lack of information back to their home country and there is no way they can learn these information and prepare ahead of the time from any channel.

This course helps you to make informed decision, get prepared, and help you to protect yourself.

What am I going to get from this course?

Over 14 lectures and 49 mins of content!

Have a general idea about USA immigration

Know why they should hire a lawyer

Know how they can protect themselves when they hire a lawyer

Ideas and Actions in the Green Movement (Routledge Research in Environmental Politics) [Repost]

Ideas and Actions in the Green Movement (Routledge Research in Environmental Politics) by Brian Doherty

English | July 5, 2002 | ISBN: 0415174015 | 288 Pages | PDF | 1022.17 KB

The "Western" green movement has grown rapidly in the last three decades: green ministers are in government in several European countries, Greenpeace has millions of paying supporters, and green direct action against roads, GM crops, the WTO and neo-liberalism, have become ubiquitous. The author argues that "greens" share a common ideological framework but are divided over strategy. Using social movement theory and drawing on research from many countries, he shows how the green movement became more differentiated over time, as groups had to face the task of deciding what kind of action was appropriate. In the breadth of its coverage and its novel focus on the relationship between green ideas and action, this book makes an important contribution to the understanding of green politics.
